Ingredients:

2 ½ cups granulated sugar

2 ½ sticks unsalted butter

1 ¾ cups unsweetened cocoa powder

½ teaspoon kosher salt

4 large eggs
-
1 cup all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Steps:

Stir the butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt over
simmering water until melty and hot

Add vanilla (off the heat) and beat in eggs one at a time

Throw in the flour and baking powder
-
Bake in a parchment lined baking dish at 350°
